It’s no easy task running an online casino. To successfully run an online casino, that is. It’s certainly not hard to run an online gaming site into the ground (We’ve seen it happen one too many times), but to successfully build and maintain a player base, is no easy task…whatsoever.
Knowing this all too well is In Touch Gaming (In Touch Poker Ltd. and In Touch Casino Ltd) – a London based, Malta-licensed online gaming infrastructure developer that is about to launch Boss Media powered HippodromeCasino.com. The online counterpart to the highly anticipated London brick ‘n mortar Hippodrome Casino (which is scheduled to open this year in the heart of Leicester Square), HippodromeCasino.com recently announced it will be using London-based Media Corporation to manage it’s online gaming platform, while launching a unique service enabling brick ‘n mortar gamblers to make deposits and withdrawals online.
Overseeing everything from software maintenance and financial transactions to 24/7 customer support services, Media Corporation will assuredly have a full plate of new responsibilities. Although Media Corporation already has a sizeable presence and experience working with online poker brands, the company is relatively new to managing online casino brands. But that will be no problem according to Media Corporation CEO, Justin Drummond, who referred to the partnership with Hippodrome as a “major deal” that will enable Media Corporation’s online gaming business to “grow enormously”.
Considering Media Corporations 2012 forecast of 100,000 new customers per year and 12 million Pounds of cash deposits in the first twelve months live (the online casino is scheduled to begin accepting cash deposits in April), this is indeed a a good measure of “enormous growth”. Hippodrome Casino Chairman, Simon Thomas, shared a similar sentiment, stating that Hippodrome is very excited to be working with Media Corporation, and that both companies are well matched to create a “new era in gambling led entertainment in the UK”.
OCNet, for one, is looking forward to the fruits of this partnership. The online casino and poker duo from In Touch Gaming could very well give Caesar’s Interactive Entertainment (casino.wsop.com & poker.wsop.com) a run for it’s money, and that would be good thing for the industry as a whole.
