WMS Industries is no stranger to Facebook. Nor are their slot machines. Take Large Animal Games’ Lucky Cruise social casino, for example. With over 350,000 monthly user’s and 100,000 app page Likes, this WMS-affiliate app went live in December, 2011 and has since become many a slot fan’s first taste of WMS slot machines via Facebook.
It very well could have been Lucky Cruise that served as the definitive litmus test for WMS, because the hugely successful brick ‘n mortar slot machine manufacturer recently launched a social casino of its own.
Introducing Jackpot Party Social Casino. Launched less than one month ago and still in it’s Beta stage, Jackpot Party has already garnered an impressive following with nearly 30,000 app page Likes and 80,000 active monthly users. These numbers still fall well short of the 5.2 million monthly user’s holding court at Double Down social casino, but it’s certainly a good start.
Six of WMS’ most popular slot games – Invaders of the Planet Moolah, Zeus II, Fortunes of the Caribbean, Brazilian Beauty, Jungle Wild and Reel Rich Devil – can all be played with fun-money credits, while earnings derived from which will – at one point – be able to redeem for “virtual goods and services”.
Bonuses are dished out every few hours or so, which makes it pretty much impossible to run out of credits. Coins can still be purchased, nonetheless (for all the high rollers out there). Many denominations are available with bonuses awarded in relation to the size of the purchase amount. $5 gets you 5,000 coins with no bonus, while a $250 deposit gets 700,000 coins plus a 43% bonus (1,001,000 coins total).
As mentioned, there are six WMS slot titles currently available, with more to come. Three titles are available for play right from the outset – Brazilian Beauty, Zeus II, and Invaders of the Planet Moolah, (see image) with additional titles becoming available for play as threshold point levels are reached. Essentially, the more one plays, the more levels one attains. And the greater the rewards. Planet Moolah, for example, pays $50 in additional coins, a bonus award increase of $100, and bet-per-line increase of $2 for reaching Level 2. At Level 3, $100 in coins is awarded and the bet-per-line is increased to $5. And so on, and so on.
Achievement awards – creatively ranging from four pay wins to consecutive losing spins – are dished out along the way, helping keep the games from going stale while giving players something to reach for. Note: If you don’t want to annoy some of your friends, be sure to uncheck the “Share and Give Gifts to Friends” located underneath the “Collet” button, after obtaining various achievements. Better yet, when syncing up with the app, X out the permission for the app to post on your behalf. Unlike Lucky Cruise and some other casino gaming apps out there, Jackpot Party gives players the option of revoking permission while still being permitted to play.
There are a handful of ”coming soon” sections on Jackpot Party, but clearly, with the heightened demand for social casino’s on Facebook these days, it’s really all about the game itself. And WMS Industries is making a strong charge to bring its games to the front of the pack. If you’re looking for some fun slot entertainment in the world of Facebook, give their debut social casino, Jackpot Party a go. But be warned – once you get started, it’s hard to stop!
