For Canadian and European online gamblers, InterCash is practically a household name. Helping launch the prepaid card industry in Canada, InterCash is now widely accepted at many a government-regulated online casino. Specifically, the Winnings Card by InterCash is what players will commonly find readily available at online casinos, and now that InterCash has re-launched the Winnings Card, expect to see even more of this popular online banking solution.
Similar to the traditional eWallet system widely used at online casinos (Neteller, Money Bookers, Click2Pay), Winnings Card is basically a casino debit card that players can use to top off and instantly withdraw winnings from. The card can be used just like any other debit/credit card online, as well as at millions of ATM’s accepting the MasterCard logo. It takes out the middle man, and while not entirely free (there’s roughly a 3% charge per purchase transaction), it’s certainly better than a credit card.
Card to card transfers and email money transfers are available, but they are hit with roughly a 25% fee. The same fee applies to ATM withdrawals. In other words, your best bet is to use the Winnings Card for online purchases, much like you would with a PayPal account.
Based in the premiere gaming jurisdiction of Isle of Man, InterCash recently announced that the new Winnings Card is even more attractive for online casino operators. According to InterCash Chief Exec, Patrick Seguev, operators will enjoy “vast benefits”, including low rates and instant settlements. Players will be happy to know that there are no rejected transactions either.
Spreading the word about the new and improved Winnings Card, InterCash was at the International Casino Exhibition 2012 just last week (Earl’s Court Exhibition Center), with MasterCard PrePaid executives also in attendance to help answer questions from prospective clients.
